Urban-Open International Architecture Competition

Deadline: April 15, 2006

The Chicago Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council in conjunction with Archi-Treasures, Bethany Brethren Community Center, the Garfield Park Conservancy Alliance, and the AIA Young Architects Forum have launched a two phase, international architectural competition for the design of an outdoor community space in Garfield Park, Chicago, Illinois. The design should honor the commitment of Chicago to sustainability and community development while defining the actual space, sculpturally, architecturally, and naturally.

Jury: Samuel Assefa, Jeanne Gang, Carolyn O’Boyle, Erma Purnell, Ceasar McDowell, Michelle McKay, Mark Sexton, and Kristen Akre.
